As you probably read in my previous post, you know that Filipp and I are on a mission to explore the Midwest and find it’s gems. We are planning on eventually moving out of Minnesota, and know that if we live anywhere but here we would never take a drive to Iowa.. Sorry Iowa, that is just how it is.

A couple of weekends ago we got in our Blueberry and headed down to see the 8th Wonder of the World!! Our expectations were not very high. We simply wanted to check it off our travel list. Boy were we surprised when we arrived.

The Grotto of Redemption is definitely a sight to see!! Granted, it was in the middle of no where, but it is definitely worth the 3 hour drive! It is built from over 4 million dollars worth of gems and stones. The cave looking structure goes through the life of Jesus with such a beautiful and creative way.

If you have a spare Saturday this summer, get your buddies or kiddos in the car and make your way down to this shrine. It truly is beautiful!

As always, thank you so much for reading and following along!
