The Most Perfect Place on Earth

What is your dream destination?  A place that you imagine to be perfect, beautiful, the most amazing place on Earth. Is it Bali? Paris? Croatia? Norway? Santorini? Shakopee? ;P The list can go on…

I remember sitting in our little airbnb, with our windows wide open to the streets of Paris. Filipp and I were having quiet time, we were reading a quick devotional on the Bible App. The App has many studies you can do that are divided into daily sections. I believe it was called ” How is your heart today?” I remember this so well. It made me realize that no matter how perfect we might build up a place, it still has it’s flaws. Although Paris is a “dream” destination, there is still homelessness, poverty, run down streets, divisions, terror attacks..etc. No place on Earth is perfect. We were looking into going to Bali, Indonesia this winter. Yes, the nature is astounding but it is not the most perfect place on earth. Where is the perfect place? Can you spin a globe and point to it?

My point is don’t be chasing the wind my friend. I know that I do sometimes, and then God knocks on my heart and makes me realize the emptiness behind it. Filipp and I love to travel, we get all giddy when we plan our itineraries but we travel to discover, not to escape.

I am just dipping my toes in working with the fashion industry, and boy. Sometimes numbers, demands, the way advertising works just makes me feel so yukky. We are called to be the light and the salt, sometimes this is not the most glamorous or trendy route, but it leads us to something extraordinary!

I love to dwell in the thought of the ULTIMATE travel destination: heaven. It has no flaws, nada! You guys! Just! Ah!!  No expensive ticket necessary. By Grace alone, through Christ alone..

” For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:8-10

Love you all so much!!!
